Local Houses of Prayer Update

We continue to be amazed of how God seems to be encouraging an army of ordinary people from across the nations through the ministry of Local Houses of Prayer.

Almost exactly a year ago, we met at Ffald y Brenin for our annual LHOP May Gathering. We had friends joining us from 15 nations across the world – Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, Denmark, Switzerland, UK, USA, India, Nepal, Japan, Korea, and Australia. The purpose of our gatherings is to learn together, encourage one another, and seek God’s presence and listen to His whispers. Since our last May Gathering, there have been follow up visits across so many nations as we seek to build team, strengthen relationships, and contend for kingdom breakthrough in our regions and – more specifically – on the piece of earth where we are all called.

We are thankful for:

the beautiful network of relationships across the LHOP family
the simple LHOP resources that continue to be translated into so many languages
the financial provision from you all that enable us to scatter and water seeds
the emerging LHOP leaders that are supporting the development of ‘regional hubs’ as LHOP networks grow and are strengthened
learning communities for some of the emerging LHOP Leaders across the UK and Nations… what a joy it is to journey and learn together

God is moving powerfully in Portugal. What began humbly with just two people starting an LHOP in Portugal has now grown through the Lord’s leading and favour. God has opened doors for establishing a LHOP within the prison in Viana do Castelo, and our weekly meetings are online. God has indeed come to set the captives free. WhatsApp prayer meetings now gather between 6–10 people faithfully praying for the growth of LHOP’s in Portugal each week.

Together, we are speaking blessing over the nation, over those in authority, and over church leadership, praying for unity, wisdom, revival, and the strengthening of the Body of Christ throughout Portugal.

Through persevering prayer and God’s divine connections, we have also networked with missionaries on the ground. Today at a conference, I met a young couple preparing to move to Lisbon who are interested in starting a local house of prayer there. They will be joining Iris Ministries, a ministry with strong connections to Mozambique.

As the good news of the power of prayer continues to spread, LHOPs are beginning to multiply across different regions through those committed to intercession and sharing the Gospel. God is indeed moving through the nation of Portugal.
