Have you ever stayed at Ffald y Brenin and wanted to spend some time out in the beauty of God’s creation? Of course the weather can be a challenge sometimes! – and what if you wanted to find a spot to sit somewhere quiet and secluded? Well now there are many more opportunities to do just that…

Rob Griffiths volunteers with us on a regular basis with his wife Brenda – their daughter Clare Bell was also part of the team some years ago – and Rob has put his artistic skills to great use by drawing new maps to show the paths around the grounds, but also revealing the locations of every bench.

Thanks to the generosity of numerous donors and Martyn’s hard work in obtaining new benches, we now have well over a dozen seats of various kinds (old and new), with several of them especially placed in secluded locations. So when you next visit why not seek out a perch and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation from a comfortable vantage point? There are a few that might suit the more adventurous and some are under trees which – you never know – might even keep the rain off!

This is what Phyllida Mould felt Ffald y Brenin should be: “A backwater where people may come for a short time to rest and recuperate from the turmoil and stress of life. Where they may find beauty, love and peace. Where they may be still in God’s presence, and perhaps receive a new glimpse of Him – to go away refreshed and healed.”

May you be renewed by the Lord even as you read this, but especially as you enjoy the beauty of His creation.
