Ian, our head gardener, says that there’s a particular beauty to gardens that are resting. After working here for 13 years, he is well-acquainted with the garden in all its seasons. As the rest of us huddle inside cradling cups of tea, Ian and the gardening team are outside in rain, shine, wind, and snow.
And now Ian is retiring! In the video below, he shares the moving story of how God led him to work here, what he loves about the gardens, and how Jesus has transformed his life. If you’ve ever met Ian in the gardens, joined him for a time of daily prayer, or talked with him about Jesus, you’ll know that he is gentle, humble, and rooted in Christ’s love. And he’s funny too!
We will miss him dearly and hope this video gives you a taste of the wonderful man we’ve shared life and ministry with here. (And don’t worry, garden-lovers, Ffald y Brenin is still in good hands!)
