The Retreat Centre at Ffald y Brenin
Ffald y Brenin means sheepfold of the King in Welsh. For more than forty years guests have been coming to the Retreat Centre to meet with the Living God. Often at a crossroads in life, sometimes tired and worn down, they find themselves in a place perfectly shaped for intimate spiritual encounter. A safe space, an environment where the rhythms of life run at a slower pace, a pace just right for anyone eager to hear the gentle whispers of God as He speaks into our souls. And He does! The stories are always personal, unique, because God is a personal God, the Good Shepherd, who knows each of us by name.
This is the sheepfold of a king. Not any old king, the Bible tells us, but the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! The Lord at whose name every knee shall bow, both on earth and in heaven. Ffald y Brenin is a sanctuary where we find protection from the spiritual storms of life. It’s a place of peace. It’s a place where our souls are strengthened, nourished and refreshed. Truly, as the Psalmist says, “I will fear no evil for you are with me”.

Bring your thoughts to him and meditate on his offer of sanctuary, the extent of his almighty power, and the nourishment that only Jesus can offer.
